There is a Time
You are probably familiar with the book of Ecclesiastes and its compelling commentary on the passage of time where it says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens...” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
This month we are looking back with much gratitude on the 11 years we have worshipped in our current facility, and we are now greatly anticipating the Grand Opening of our new North Building on January 21st. In some ways, I view our five-year journey of faith and fundraising as our time of walking around the walls of Jericho. We believed that God had already won the battle, but He was allowing our faith to grow to be ready to meet the next challenges that will come with this new opportunity.
So, here we are, turning the page on one chapter in our church’s life and relentlessly and fearlessly moving to the next. We can be relentless because we are working in God’s power and His strength. We can be fearless because our God doesn’t change and will be faithful in every page of our next chapter.
So, this month is a time to celebrate and be grateful. It is a time to reflect and a time to renew. Most importantly, it is a time to worship the Living God who has saved us through His Son, Jesus. We praise His name! I hope you will join my wife, Darlene, and I at one of our three Grand Opening services on Sunday, January 21 at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30am.
